Bob Pitt's Resume(June 2008)

Our research group is mostly supported by research grants from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, municipal governments, and several industries. One current project is examining emerging methods that can be used to identify inappropriate discharges to storm drainage systems. Another project is compiling stormwater NPDES monitoring data from throughout the US. Our progress reports and preliminary data for these projects are included here.

Course and workshop material is presented in this section. Detailed presentations and downloadable documents are shown for most classes. Information for several workshops is also included for such topics as construction site erosion control, transportation accidents involving hazardous materials, stormwater management, and detention pond design.

Selected pdf files are included here for a number of presentations, papers, and chapters, plus recent books. These are organized by general subject.

These two computer programs were created to estimate the total discharge conditions of stormwater for a variety of watershed conditions. Pollutant and flow sources can be calculated, along with the effects of source area and outfall controls. This link contains user manuals and other background information for these models.

This section contains links to other useful stormwater Internet sites.
